| This is the emblem for the 459th Troop Carrier Squadron as we were known in early 1967 upon arrival at Phu Cat. I don't know who brought the original design to us, I just remember trying to draw a horse (never got it right and had to have help to create what you see) and painting it. It hung in one of the maintenance tents until we took them down and moved into the permanent maintenance buildings near the new runway. |
