Lieutenant Colonel William C. Hutchison

William C. Hutchison, 82 of Gardnerville, Nevada died March 5th, 2005 in Mission Viejo, California of natural causes. He spent his last days near his three children in Southern California before passing into the arms of our loving God.

“Hutch” was born April 12, 1922 in Long Beach, California. At the age of 19 he joined the Army Air Corps, becoming a pilot and serving for 33 years in the US Air Force. He proudly fought for freedom all over the world as a veteran of WW II, Korea, and Vietnam (458th TAS 1968). He retired from the Air Force and moved to Gardnerville in 1976. Hutch taught Business Administration classes at WNCC for 6 years before retiring fully. Hutch was a Past Master of Carson Valley Lodge #33, F&AM, a member of Kerak Shrine, and the Carson Valley Shrine Club.

“Hutch” was preceded in death by his loving wife Jimmie and beloved brother Jacob. He is survived by his sons and their spouses, Ron and Shelley, Jay and Kelley, daughter and spouse Rebecca and Dirk Ward, step-daughter Elizabeth Scott, grandson Brian, and granddaughters Sara, Hannah, and Kelsey.
