Walter Simons, Jr., 80, of Las Vegas, died July 2, 2005. He was a retired U.S. Air Force fighter pilot and served during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He is survived by his wife, Edith; daughters, Jill Ukeiley of Las Vegas, Karen Laub of Phoenix, and Heidi Metellus of Las Vegas; and son, Mark of Las Vegas. Services will be private. Donations can be made to the Disabled Veterans.
